About Andrew
Andrew is equally comfortable thinking about systems at a technical level and turning an idea into something tangible. His interests stretch across software development, cloud and infrastructure work, electronics, embedded devices, home technology, networking, and the occasional project that exists mostly because figuring it out sounded interesting.
But the work Andrew cares most about is closer to home.
Family is at the center of how he thinks about building things, creating traditions, and spending his time. The Whole Fam Damnly grew out of that idea: family is something you actively participate in. You show up, lend a hand, make things together, solve problems together, and build something worth passing along.
That same philosophy extends to the family’s land in Iowa. It is less about publishing where it is or putting every detail online and more about what the land represents—a place to work, learn, make things, spend time together, and create stories that belong to the family.
Andrew tends to approach life with equal parts curiosity and practicality. He enjoys understanding how things work, improving what already exists, and learning whatever is necessary to get a project across the finish line. Sometimes that means writing code. Sometimes it means working with tools, electronics, equipment, or infrastructure. Often it means bringing several of those worlds together.
At the end of the day, the technology and projects are only part of the story. Andrew is a husband, dad, family member, maker, problem-solver, and lifelong tinkerer who believes the best things are usually the things you build—and the people you build them with.
